Initial In
Home Consultation- During this visit I will meet with you and
your pets. I will need a tour of the pet’s areas in your home. We will
discuss your requirements for pet care and home care while you are
away. We will also complete paperwork and I will pick up your keys.
Visits include, but are not limited to;
Pet Care: fresh food and water, playtime, exercise,
treats, administration of medicine, litter or cage maintenance and
basic grooming.
Home Care: pick up mail, newspapers, water plants, turn
on/off lights, open/close shades, clean up any accidents pet may make.
Keys- After your pet sit I can either return your keys
or keep them on file for future pet sits. Keys kept on file with
Creature Comforts will be kept in a locked location and coded with
a number not related to your name or address. If you would like you
keys returned, I prefer to do this in person. I cannot be responsible
for the safety of keys that are returned by mail or left in an
unsecured location.
Service Requests- A signed service request must be
provided to Creature Comforts before service is provided.
Payment is preferred prior to service, but can be invoiced. Invoiced
service must be paid within 5 days of the first date of the pet sit
service. Creature Comforts accepts checks or cash for services
provided. A $25.00 fee will be charged for a returned check. A service
charge will be added for invoices paid after 30 days.
Cancellation Policy- Cancellations within 48 hours of
the start of requested service will not be subject to any fees.
Cancellations of less than 48 hours will be subject to a $10.00 fee.
Cancellations of less than 48 hours on holidays are subject to a one
day visit fee. Holidays are defined as the 10 federally recognized
holidays. Refunds due to pet owner’s early return will be honored if
Creature Comforts is notified at least 48 hours in advance of
owner’s early return.
Returning Home Procedures- For the safety and health of
your pets, Creature Comforts would prefer a phone call or email
confirming the owner has returned home at the designated date/time.
Creature Comforts cannot be held responsible for pet sit needs
after the end date/time stated on the service agreement.
Pets- Dogs normally require 2-5 visits per day, a
minimum of 2 dog visits within a 24 hour period is required. Cats
normally require 1-2 visits per day, a minimum of 1 cat visit in a 24
hour period is required. Creature Comforts will make every
effort to visit your pet(s) at the same time(s) everyday; however
times may vary slightly and cannot be guaranteed. All pets must be
current on vaccines during the time of service and should be on
regular flea control. These requirements are for the protection and
health of all animals Creature Comforts comes in contact with.
Pets with electronic fences must wear their collars. All dogs must
have either a collar with identification tags or be micro-chipped.
It’s the pet owner’s responsibility to pet proof their home and
property prior to leaving. This includes securing gates, doors,
windows, etc. Creature Comforts is not liable for injuries or
loss a pet may sustain while in its own home or on its property due to
maintenance issues or lack or adequate security. Creature Comforts
reserves the right to take pet(s) to designated vet(s). Owner is
responsible for all vet charges. Before departing it’s requested that
you stock up on pet food, medications, litter, treats, etc. There are
times when supplies run out and need to be replaced prior to your
return. For this service there will be a $15.00 fee per trip for items
to be purchased. The trip fee and supply cost will be added to your
bill. A store receipt will be provided.
Visitors to the Home- Creature Comforts cannot be
responsible for the security of your home or pet(s) if you allow
others to enter your home while you are away. I ask that you inform
all likely visitors of this situation. If you do plan to have
visitors, please inform Creature Comforts of this prior to the
start of service.
Creature Comforts agrees to provide services stated in a
reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of the
services and as an express condition thereof, the owner/client
expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against
Creature Comforts, unless arising from negligence on the part of
Creature Comforts. Owner/Client agrees to notify Creature Comforts
of any concerns within 24 hours of return.
